I’m here you are someplace else

Last night @ PJs I scored a table right in front of big screen TV to watch the Zags play Butler @ home. ESPN prime time. What a battle, ties and lead changes. Zags behind most of second half. Pulled up by 1 w/ 3.5 seconds left and in bound possession. A Butler player stole the pass and scored on a floater as time expired. Very good game.

I drove back to BnB parking lot for the night.

Last night I applied a castor oiled cloth on my right shoulder then applied a hot water bottle. Pretty oily process. Supposed to help heal my soreness.

I slept in this AM sleeping in a parking lot. Another spectacular Sedona day. After a short shop visit I drove abck up to west Sedona for a ride. I started and ended @ the library.

A shower @ Snap, pick up a burrito, and 2 beers @ brewery watching the Ravens pummel the Pats. Superbowl in 2 weeks. Out to Deer Pass for the night. Tomorrow is drive back to Village for PT treatment.

Changing bike tires. Scott is giving me a Minion for the front wheel. i will move the front Conti trail king to the rear. The Minion is known for traction. Still tubeless. I installed a Conti mtn king w/ black chili compound. So far I have torn off 1 lug and severely scuffed the sidewalls.

5 straight days of riding. Monday is a rest day.

  1. Craig, regarding your many miles with tubeless, anything do enough damage that the leak seal didn’t seal the tire (i.e. you had to push the bike back?) are you still running low pressures? The Zags game was a real heartbreaker. Mel was saying the Butler player pushed the receiving Zags player away from the ball on the inbound pass. I’d have to see the replay. Bluebird skies at Schweitzer yesterday. Great skiing!

  2. Les, nary a complaint about tubeless. I have never flatted or burped the bead. i am still running 25 psi in rear and 24 in front. Sedona w/ sharp edged rocks and an occasional hard strike has not caused a problem Joy is riding low pressure tires.
