Computer belongs under the bus

Then me. runutsadventures email is computer hacked and won’t work. I waste so much time and patience w/ this electronic medium. I have set myself up this way and I will get it fixed.

Last night it was 3 glasses of wine. I slept well. For once i did not have a killer headache when I woke up. Strange not having the intense pain to deal w/.

Sister Lynn called this AM to share here travel plans for her visit this weekend. I will enjoy visiting w/ her.

Daily in the Am I am drinking a mushroom tea consisting of cordychi, chaga, and astragalus. Every day all day long my lungs are passing up crud. My breathing is freer but is just as out of breath as w/o. I am suffering from time off the bike. I am next under the bus.

Today plan was to ride w/ Danny. Started out @ 11:30, then moved to 2:00. At that time the temp was 80 degrees. We sat around @ his house waiting for the temp to drop or drink beer, which ever took less effort. we talked ourselves into riding. Rode up HT to Chicken Point down Broken Arrow to Hog Heaven across to pig Tail then finished on Mystic and neighborhood streets back to Danny’s van. My breathing cuts my climbing effort and my lack of confidence in my ability causes me to walk stuff going down. Today i did ride several more features because I rode Danny’s wheel. Drank a beer then drove back to Danny’s for a shower then my dash back out to Deer Pass just @ dark thirty.

Tomorrow is a trip up to Flag for a ride and Danny’s part return. Flag’s elevation is 7,000′, Sedona is 4500′ My breathing is bad here?

Sat. I rode by myself @ my own pace during which I rested quite frequently. Rode Special Ed to Witch DR continuing to Cakewalk, crossed the road found whatever its name is to Ramshead. I hike a biked up the brutal ST to Ridge then over to Sketch to Ridge then back to city streets for slow pedal back. Shower @ Danny’s then dinner @ Deer Pass camp spot.

I have a last blood draw this week and a DR appointment on Thurs. One last DR go. plan then is to drop Lynn off @ Phoenix airport then head to NM.

Broken tooth

Last night @ the Bodacious Burger i was chomping down on an elk burger. My teeth hit on something hard, I thought it was from the ground elk meat. I separated it from the food then carried it forward on my tongue. Hard white something. As my mouthful cleared teeth raised up like rocks in a receding tide pool. My tongue detected a sharp edge on a tooth. Darn. I broke one of the few non crowned teeth and I have no dental insurance that  i have been putting off buying. Tooth will be fixed b4 leaving Sedona, alas another delay. I called my Sedona dentist and scored a 12:00 appointment today. The dentist examined the tooth then determined it could be fixed w/ their in house porcelain crown making equipment, 1 day turn. This Wed I am in the chair for a novacane shot, digital crown made and installed, then leaving a check for $1,100. An ironic event is AARP emailed a pitch for their dental insurance which is where I was going to go.

Yesterday i drove to RV shop in Cottonwood to buy a new h2o filter. I removed the old clogged one and installed the new one. Apprehension: do I turn on the sink faucet to learn if my plumbing works. Gotta do it. Turned on the faucet allowing h2o to gush forth w/ great volume. Pumped kicked off and on in short bursts. All is good. This pump looses its prime also. Might be uptake hoses that allow air to enter.

Danny and I rode from BnB up Shades to Templeton, down the wash to easy Breezy. Danny coached me thru 2 new roll overs, then back on Shades. Ended up @ his house for a shower b4 going out to eat. For having time all to myself I sure let others spend it freely.

After dinner I drove out to Deer Pass. My headlights caught a white Sprinter w/ utility racks on top. First thought it was Ruth and Aaron. I called Aaron who told me it was Ruth and her nephew from NC. We visited over cleaned up bfast as they were headed to the Grand Canyon. 15 yo kid from NC seeing Sedona rock. Has to be a killer experience, at least it was for me when I back packed Philmont Scout ranch back when I was 14, 1964.

Did laundry. Windy afternoon. Overcast skies. Rest day. Told Danny i would teach him some BetterRide skills today. He was to call which hasn’t happened yet.

Joe from Well Red Coyote bookstore gave me 3 books. Out to desert to read.

No problems but no answers

Today I had my followup DR appointment to discuss test results and whatever. Heart stress test result: Normal Myocardial Perfusion.  According to DR the arteries feeding my heart are fine. CRP level is high which indicates inflammation somewhere in my body, particularly the she says while 2 other DRS say it indicates an infection somewhere in the body. I know my heart rate at rest is higher than normal and my heart thumps in my chest. Blood pressure is today 120/68, resting pulse 81 which to DR is of no issue. Cholesterol is slightly high but not so the DR wants to start me on a new medicine. The blood work for the hospital was reviewed where she saw nothing to be concerned about so the body chemistry isn’t divulging secrets. Headache is what it is. She said my adrenal gland performance  can’t be determined by modern medicine. I have been having pain in my mid back both sides. I didn’t get an answer for that. Headaches are back.

I am consuming Jason’s suggested herbs and mushrooms which is to clear my lungs and strip the nano bacteria that clings to the inside of the artery walls. Strip the nanos to eliminate attach points for calcium that comes from years of build up. The calcium attracts the cholesterol. Eliminate the foundation and the deck falls. The herbs are mixed in 16oz of h2o as a smoothy. The stuff really needs to get mixed into the h2o. At first I used a QT canning jar & ill fitting lid. jason said i really needed a blender to mix. I researched electrical draw for blenders that are 200 to 350 watts which exceeds my 10 watt inverter. I bought a large pyrex 4 cup measuring cup and whisk the goodies into solution. No electric draw.

Yesterday I drove to ride TH. Forecast called for 18- 21 mph wind, gusts to 41. The air was hazy from the suspended particles that I would breathe in thru my open mouth. I saw dust devils in the gravel. I said no ride and drove back into town. I bought a Scott Turow novel @ Safeway then stuck my nose in it.

Computer took a dump.

I rode after DR appointment stopping @ BnB. Jimmie joined me. I had horrible shortness of breath while my heart rate appeared normal high. Lots of stopping. I rode the piece we built on Sat.

Drove back to west Sedona for shower, h20, and groceries. I ate dinner @ Wildflower. Then back out to Deer Pass camp.

Tomorrow is another ride. I plan on beating my body into submission.
