Who’s right? I am affected

Today I visited my chiro showing her the X-rays taken by the ortho DR who said that I am healing and for nature to take her course. The chiro, who specializes in the skeleton, said that the fracture should have been surgically repaired. She sees my clavicle shifted inboard to my spine. The ortho walked away from a sure surgery income. Yes, my break will heal but my skeleton will need adjusting from the impact of the fall. The break looks like a dead stick snapping into ragged shards. For now the pieces seem to be mending as I am not feeling the grating that came from the moving bone ends. I occasionally take Vicadin for pain.

Yesterday I hiked out to where I fell and took pictures. I studied the site and determined what caused my fall and where I landed amid rugged rocks. Cause: I stalled on a little roller that turned to the left. I must have struck my front wheel on the high bank on the outside of the turn and the rear wheel stalled on the small log entering the turn. I didn’t see the whole turn problem. The landing amid many rocks that did or could have have stopped my body left me perhaps thankful that I received just the damage I suffered. What i do know is that I did not exceed my tech ability that would leave a fear in my reflexes. I hiked the trail out to the road that I rode when I could and pushed when i had to. 1 & 1/2 miles to the pavement up & down over places of tough tech stuff.

don't do this @ home

The IRS took exception to my 2009 tax return partially correct concern. The stated I owed $3000+ in additional taxes. Consultation w/ my $ man it was determined that the income increase was mostly from a sale of an asset. The IRS lacked the paper trail showing how much I bought it for. I called the IRS help line where I waited on hold for over 30 mins. The agent worked w/ me and accepted my stated purchase price w/o supporting paper work showing that I actually lost $25 on the sale. My new tax bill is almost 90% less than original bill. Whew.

Otherwise today was a passed day. Beautiful weather.

Sat marked 5 weeks since fall. I am staying here in Sedona to recover because I have established a support network and that I can accept not riding these trails that I have already ridden. Yes, I am antsy to ride again and I will when sufficiently recovered. To travel away from here would expose me to places I would like to play but my body would not be ready for it, hence frustration not being able to ride.
