surgeon’s report

the requested surgeon’s report was not in my in basket this morning when i fired the computer. i called the same number and was greeted by the human voice. she said the email was sent yesterday pm. a mispelling of my email was the cause. she corrected and said she would send it right away. i waited till mid afternoon then called back. voice mail. she called back shortly saying she sent it 2x. email address was correct. she sent it a 3rd time, still not receiving it. she said she could fax it. jimmy suggested the red agave right by me. i asked the woman at the desk (not tracy) if she could receive a fax for me. i told her i knew tracy and was not a paying guest. she allowed the fax because of a connection. i called the surgeon and left voice mail for the fax number. she called me minutes later saying she hit the sent button. i walked back to the agave and slid the 3 page report into my hand. i thank the desk person then walked outside sitting on the top step as it was the shortest distance from the counter.

pre and post diagnosis agreed:

right shoulder rotator cuff tear recare, massive with impingement and retained old suture foreign bodies with synovitus

right shoulder arthroscopic rotator cuff tear repair, arthroscopic foreign body removal, acromoplasty, extensive glenhumeral debridement.

described me as “a pleasant gentleman” ” he tolerated the procedure very well. there were no known complications.”

the report continues with how his team stitched me back together. i have a scheduled tele consult tomorrow night. my question to him: my shoulder when healed will allow me to resume my active life style? i will only be satisfied till i hear him answer my question. “rotator cuff full thickness 100% supraspinatus tear with 70% of infraspinatus torn and old sutures present in multiple areas.”
