Yesterday the van received a new water pump. I am happy as a van health issue was learned and has been corrected eliminating a future break down. While Sprinters are some what popular not all shops that work on European vehicles work on vans because of the height being greater than the shop roof. The work was done at Andersons who are my Sedona fix it shop, this repair was done outside as their interior was packed with rigs in various stages of repair of decay. My appointment was at 1, my plan was to consume the morning hours then drive to shop then ride from there while waiting for completion. I had a ride planned for time consumption. I rode Old Post to Skywalker, at that intersection 2 riders were there, one greeted my by nick name, he said we had ridden together previously. He described what it was, memory recall kicked in to remember some of the ride but not of him as he was faster with no visiting. Pedaled on.
I rode across the highway to Cultural park to continue. Coasting thru the parking I noticed a woman rider positioned sideways to the road. Could it be? Yes, it was Gina a local. Nice young woman, she asked when I started mtn biking, I said 1985, she said I have been riding longer than she is old. My ride became social with several talk breaks. We parted as she headed back and I continued. I was pedaling away from town, the sky was obscured by cloud layer creating darkness. I looked at the time. Shit!, No way was I going to be able to complete my plan before the shop closed. I turned around retracing Axis to park then rode 89A back to the shop.
last year I rode by the above where the manzanita still had undeveloped fruit on the branches. They were dead before replenishing moisture. Green bush scored enough water to survive. Edward Abbey said there is always enough water but there is more demand.
Van still in install parts mode. Wrench gave me 45 mins completion. No waiting room in shop so I walked a short distance to a Mexican restaurant to nurse a margarita for 30 mins. I walked back to shop as my van was returning from shake down drive. I paid the bill and drove away. Van repaired and enjoyable ride.
Ran into the blogger who said that in his writing he includes examples of like what made me happy today. I seem just to recount what I experienced not identifying a category. I did write about what made me happy yesterday.

My shoulder is barking dissatisfaction, seems to happen when I move my arm to end of range of motion. I need PT. Today i visited urgent care here in Sedona to obtain a referral. Wait time was less than 30 mins. Next was to PT clinic where Eric is now working, he has history with my shoulder which is why I followed him there. Last week of Fed is first session.
I listened to a podcast on Singletracks on state of ebikes several days ago. I heard presenter say ebikes are allowed anywhere on BLM land. I checked Trailforks for the BCT. Every segment I viewed showed ebikes were allowed. I called the district BLM office to learn of BLM official permission for ebikes. I was told ebikes are not allowed. I worked with TF and revised those pieces to delete ebikes. There, I did something good.
Speaking of good, tomorrow is a FS volunteer trail work day I will attend.
Went for a hike today from cultural park.
