cut to the chase. wed night as i was seeking a higher position on my bed pillows w/ my arm passive my body twisting, i heard / felt a pop that reminded me too much of the pops that got me here. i was in denial until fri when i called the fix it drs. unfortunately i did not hear from them so i continue to really worry myself sick. i am so afraid that i pulled the repair loose. don’t bid the devil good day until i meet him, i am afraid that met him already.
wed i attended the monthly board meeting of evergreen east, the spokane mtn bike club. i sure shared a bunch. what did i learn? issues are common but unique to a club. a few people do the heavy lifting for the majority. they are building great trail @ sekani and rehabbing old fall line lines. i was invited back to next meeting.
tues les invited me out to his house for beer and pizza and learning of his solution for bed movement. his block and tackle solution is unworkable. next was a series of pulleys and a cleat which will require gymnastics to make work. i have time to try this solution.
i have been spending the morning on the computer then venturing forth in the after for dinner etc then return for electricity and hot running water. i have noticed my skin is very dry that will need moisturizing. johnny cash is singing “solitary man”, oh how i could use a caring wing woman. come shower w/ me and grease me up, surrender some of my independence for care.
don & julie’s driveway took a hit after a hard down pour washing away or overcoating w/ mud a piece of the drive. i asked if i could give them a load of gravel to fix. they said yes. yesterday a load of gravel was neatly and completely spread over the bad spot.
college football today along w/ baseball playoffs. i will spend the day searching for view locations and watching.
thurs i drove north to elk looking for land. the 2 pieces around elk were a bust. returning to spokane i saw a sign for land that caught my attention. i found the location. a quick survey spooled my interest as there is a perfect location for a sunset view on a side hill. 14 acres already divided into 3 parcels. $99,990. pretty steep. owner hasn’t been able to sell the lots so he is bailing and selling the whole chunk. i want to meet w/ the real estate agent to learn more.
the heater in the van seems to have a sticky control valve. i called the mfger who told me there is no home fix, it needs to be returned to its birth place for service. i found an e store selling a new 1 well marked down so i bought it. i knew of valve problem all summer but i hoped that would work ok this cold times. failure cost me about $100.
the people who own the elk and other pubs are opening a new place @ old ginos location right off gu campus which on my side of town. mon is opening. i’ll be there.

i have been seeing football players w/ flowing manes and baseball players w/ full real beards. i am wearing short shorts like basketball players wore years ago. tough being ahead of styles.
a bright spot as i learned that the van seat cushions are interchangeable. the living seat is getting packed out. i will find someone to swap the cushions out. replacement cost for cushion is $600. previously i was searching for a completely new chair.
