Sunday, rainy, cool, calm Sunday. Sat forecast for Sunday was sunny. Last night I heard rain on the roof and the bikes were not covered. Again a wet exit to pull on the rain cover. Went back to bed enjoying the cool temp and not having to be anywhere. It was almost 9:00 when i finally accepted that the day needed to get going. I fixed oatmeal w/ blueberries, maple syrup, and chopped walnuts, and toast, my now standard b-fast. Cleaned up. No word from Todd and company from big house. They discussed riding today. They did leave, may they have had a big sucker hole to start in.
I drove into Brevard for errands and internet access which I have in Ingles grocery store parking lot. Even drank a double shot latte.
Yesterday was a trail work day on new trail machine cut by Long Cane, Todd and Bill’s company. They helped, I stayed down.
My computer has issues w/ Outlook affecting emails. I will find a computer repair person Monday to exorcise the malady.
Yesterday i drove into town to do internet and hang @ the Hub. After the trail work was completed I joined Todd, Heather, and Bill @ Brevard Brewery. Later we went to dinner @ a BbQue place near hendersonville.
Friday I drove to the urgent care clinic to learn about my back. Enough quality X-Rays were taken for DR to state that i have degenerative disc disease and arthritis in my vertebrae. Going to hell in a hand basket. He gave me scripts for muscle relaxer and hydrocodone. Meds make me feel better (DUH).
Friday eve I made Todd & Heather’s place where I will be staying. Flat spot on a driveway to an abandoned house. Bill Victor arrived. Great being w/ good buds.
Thurs Kim treated me w/ cranial sacral therapy. She said that my back is aligned OK but I have some tight muscles. After her treatment I was able to stand a bit straighter. I found Kim back in spring of ’09 then again in ’10 when i passed thru.
The Hub serviced my King rear hub. Funny, the hub is from the original wheel they built for me back in ’09.
Got my hair cut on Fri. Just neatened up.
Thurs night I had a home cooked dinner @ Phil and Allison Sitterding’s vacation rental house out @ Cedar Mtn. Phil is an avid rider. I will ride w/ him @ Brown County , prolly the first stop leaving my dad’s house.
The DR advised me to take some rest days, at least a week, b4 riding. perhaps pain is my guide line. I hurt too much to ride.
Forecast for week is for some kind of rain. Not bad conditions to rest under.
