It’s 93 degrees in Spokane and I ride

Because I can and did. Visited w/ Bill & Jennifer for awhile this AM as the day heated up. Plan is to ride Riverside for several hours then work my way back to Bill’s for the night.

Rode Riverside Sharp Stick in the Eye climb w/ exit variation. Trails in park go from hard pack to loose river rock, then to basalt chunks. For the most part riding is spinning w/ lots of open sight lines. No crowds perhaps because of the heat, a Sunday, $10 entry fee, fair starting, church? Park trails to myself except for Jim who stopped me down by the river because he read about me in DirtRag and recognized me. Hot sweat dripping day and no pee.

Farmers are bringing in the wheat. Catch the side hill combine angles in the pic. leveling apparatus was developed here in Spokane:

Tip number way big: Preparing food w/ cayenne warms the body. eating it in the heat brings on the sweat.

Off to cool of Lindgren rd.
