Last night I made the airport my sleep spot parking in same area near the sign that reads: 24 hours maximum. I previously cruised all the parking lots and saw no signage prohibiting camping. There was paid extended parking so a person could stay for 24 hours where I was for free, or pay a daily fee in another location. I chose the offered free. I was sound asleep when a pounding on the side of the van, almost where my head was. Raining. A man’s voice identifies himself as airport staff and that I have to move because I can’t stay here. I crawl out of bed and roll the driver’s window down. I told him I was in compliance w/ the sign and nowhere is sleeping prohibited. He said, Oh. then apologized. I crawled back into bed and fell back to sleep. WTF?

After bfast I drove back into Anytime Fitness to check out if there was a bike machine to ride. There was, just like in Spokane. I changed in to inside bike riding attire then pedaled for 62 mins, burned 725 cals, a bit more than on the dirt. A shower then I was on my way.

I sought knowledge about my cell phone @ Verizon dealer. Saleswoman told me my phone was outdated and I was eligible for an upgrade, one that will have way faster internet speed. I’ll wait till Sedona.

Forecast called for 100% rain and I believed it by riding inside early. I drove out of PA heading to the ocean. The ride I wanted to do @ Crescent lake was being rained on. I drove out of the rain B4 Forks. At Forks I decided to drive out to the coast in the Olympic National park and camp. I chose Mora XG which is 2 miles from the ocean. My seniors’ pass dropped camping fee to $6. That pass has saved me beaucoup bucks. I hiked the road down to Rialto Beach. Strong onshore breeze would have blown my Stetson away if I didn’t keep my hand on it. Pounding surf was the song. I made it back to camp as darkness was falling. All alone in soggy campground.

Tomorrow I will drive up the Hoh River and camp. The forecast is for mostly sunny tomorrow. Another cheap night. This is the trailhead for climbing MT Olympus. It’s like 12 miles to the Blue Glacier. I skied from the bergshrund down to exit off the Blue. Not a long ski and a horribly long hike but I skied it. I climbed it 2 other times. I spent quite a few nights and traveled many places in the Olympics when I lived outside Gig Harbor. A hike up the Hoh or a ride on the pavement back to the ocean.
