What a support group i have. i am greatly humbled. jenifer has been the spark plug. she is a nurse and taking care of me. last night she gave me 2 dinners worth of casserole. she went over my meds etc.
the most painful part of the surgery is getting an iv in. today was the worst as it took the 3rd stick to plumb in. i remember some of the nurses and some me from prior visits, the last visit back in may of ’08. kody stopped for his preop. he said he hoped i said my prayers for the repair of a nasty tear. i said i hope he said his prayers for his successful repair. he signed my right shoulder.
i was wheeled into the or. i told the 2 women nurses that the place looks still the same that humorously jabbed @ them, being female and all making changes. i think one was the anesthe… and she slipped me a mickey. next recollection was in recovery room stage 2. whacked out. jennifer was right there to pick me up. stopped @ pharmacy for pain meds, darn, adeline was not working. she drove me to new digs here @ pastor don’s and julie. i have eaten and drinks of water. ice 24×7 on. will sleep in bed propped up by pillows.
1 hand typing and missing some editing corrections.
DR Kody gave me a dvd of the ortho surgery. i presented to him a challenge that he relished and he bested. it was a complex tear, like delamination of plies then a tear. 22 min video of him suturing the tendon together then onto the bone. he also repaired the collar bone joint that was trashed. Kody talked telling me how he was going to put me back together then while he was doing it. he said the mri made the injuries worse than than what he worked with. he said that he made a successful repair now his success rests on resting my right arm. he said 3 months recovery. i owe him his success.
last night i met w/ the realtor to look @ joe’s old place. i invited Jennifer along. i lived beside him for 16 years but i never went over for a visit. i have desire for that property if all the accumulated “stuff” was removed. no more, it was nasty. darn. i would like living back here again.
almost finished w/ jesse walter’s ruby ridge book. fear our government.
Hang in there Craig. Come back down to AZ to recuperate. Got a good book recommendation for my upcoming river trip?
