Spokane temps last several days have been in the low 90s. But the heat doesn’t have the summer heat bite, it’s still sweating warm.
Yesterday I played around riding Riverside, serious but at a recreational effort. 18.3 miles climbing 1500′. Park has some ups out @ 9 mile, basalt bluffs.
Last night I met w/ the ortho to listen to his surgical effort. However, he informed me the meeting would be very short as he just received a call that his cows had escaped captivity and he had to dash to their capture. He looked @the MRI: one tendon has retracted and lacks substance and is old. This will be a challenge for him. He said he will go in and do what he is able to do.
I am on dog care duty. These 2 dogs have an established schedule that I am working to. Not like my old dog Chase. I’d feed him in the AM b4 leaving for work then he was an unrestrained outside dog. He’d run the neighborhood seeking food morsels then be back on the deck when I got home at whatever time for dinner. These girls care is almost like punching a clock. Nice dogs.
Today I rested after 6 straight days of riding. First up was my dentist visit on the same day as last year. Gums not bleeding and recession is acceptable. One tooth needs a crown quickly as the tooth has numerous cracks. I made an appointment. I will finally be using my dental insurance to pay for this event.
Tomorrow night I will do a night ride using my light for the first time since I bought it back in maybe ’11(?).
Surgery is this Tues. Immobilize the shoulder for 6 weeks, that’s Nov 4, 6 weeks flexibility, finally 12 weeks post surgery to do strengthening exercises, first week Dec. I want to flee after 6 weeks. By then Les and I (mostly engineer Les) will have created a 1 handed bed lifting solution.
Windows 7 still contains mysteries to me, I suppose everything is imported into my laptop but I haven’t learned how to make it give it back to me to share w/ you.
Oh, I learned about the hood jump @ High Drive. The hood is sprung at above ground so that when the front wheel rolls onto it, the hood is compressed, when the rear wheel rolls on the hood is springing back which kicks the rear wheel up causing a nose wheelie off the back side. The wheelie usually results in some kind of over the bars launch.
