Yesterday I drove from Twin Falls out on the plains to up into the Woods River Valley stopping in Hailey. The rain I hid from in Twin fell as snow up here.
I stopped @ PO where my mail arrived just that AM. Next was a visit to Sun Summit South, Chip’s shop, to pick up my UPS packages. Susan, his wife is holding the door open during his Italian riding adventure. I missed visiting w/ him. I ordered the book I thought was stored @ Tom’s house: 30 Energy Efficient Homes. I paged quickly to the house design that is a possible build for me.
I was examined my an DO for my eye pain. My intention was to be seen by an Ophthalmologist but my request was botched by the front desk of the DR office. The DO examined my eyes discovering swelling of my eyes and issues w/ the mucus membrane. early stages of cataracts. He prescribed drops. I questioned his scope of medical treatment if I should be seen by anĀ ophthalmologist; he said he was in scope. Concern he has for source of head ache is optic nerve damage. i have a Monday appointment for an exam to check this out.
Friend Steve met me after my DR visit. Our ride plan was on the best possible riding trails for this time of the year. Unfortunately we were skunked by freeze thaw mud and snow. Cold got to us after the heat of the day peaked. Short muddy ride.
Steve invited me to dinner and spend the night @ his house. I volunteered my Waldorf salad that he has read about. he fixed a nice piece of Alaskan salmon. Mia, his wife is into horses. He is a horse vet. We watched Game one of the World Series. I slept in his drive way. Temp this AM was 23. I was toasty in my van.
Today I did my wash in Hailey then drove up river to Ketchum. First stop was the Elephants Perch. Another place to hang out and tell stories and visit w/ other friends. Kyle was working and so was rambler Roger. I( needed to leave to attend to writing and other visits.
My Dad is having serious medical issues such that I may make a detour to Ohio.
Off for more visits.
